Mr. Riley is a well-rounded safety professional with more than 20 years of direct safety and health management. Prior to joining David W. Bogart Associates as an associate, Mr. Riley held the position of manager of health and safety for Masterfoods USA (formally Mars, Incorporated) at their plant in Chicago . During his time with Masterfoods, Mr. Riley had multi plant responsibilities for the confectionary plant in Chicago , the pet food plant in Mattoon , IL , and for the ice cream plant in Burr Ridge , IL . One of his assignments within Masterfoods was as the safety manager at the site with one of the largest industrial ammonia refrigeration sites in Illinois .

In addition to his industrial safety experience, Mr. Riley has been a paid on call firefighter and Company Officer for 18 years in the Chicago area. He is certified to teach Emergency Response - Hazardous Materials response topics. Mr. Riley is FEMA Hazardous Materials Certified and a FEMA Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and a member of the DuPage County Emergency Planning Committee and the Lemont Area ESDA. Mr. Riley also holds certifications as a Hazardous Materials Specialist- State of Ill., Emergency Medical Technician-B State of Ill., and as Firefighter III State of Ill.

Mr. Riley is a Professional Member American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and a member of Technical review Committee ASSE for Industrial Emergency response, a member of the NFPA, a member of the University of Ill. Fire Service Institute, Industrial Planning committee, and an International Fire Service Training Association - Certified Instructor. In addition Bob holds certifications from the ASSE in Safety management, the Executive Program in Safety Management and holds an OSHA 30 hour General Industry certification. Mr. Riley holds a BA in Political Science/History from the Valparaiso University in Indiana . Bob has published articles in the National Safety Council magazine and Occupational Safety and Health and been an instructor for Compliance Magazine's Audio Conference series.
