Phase II - Educating the Participants

During the education process the employees will be given a series of educational programs that are designed to:

  • Help them understand the role of behavior in the safety process;
  • Teach them coaching skills;
  • Teach them how to use the B.A.S.E. safety information software;
  • Help them identify the difference between safe and unsafe behaviors;
  • Teach them how to conduct B.A.S.E. observations;
  • And provide them with the ability to understand the information obtained from the software.

During this phase of the process, the B.A.S.E. software will be setup and customized to the company's needs. This will be done so that when the software is introduced during one of the training programs it will be ready for use with baseline information populated in the data fields. It is during this phase that we will establish a schedule for conducting observations and determine the proper way to integrate contractor activities into the B.A.S.E. process. This will probably require conducting one or two training sessions for the primary contractor representatives that the company uses on a regular basis.

Phase III - Implementing the B.A.S.E. Process
